some things take so long

The music video SOME THINGS TAKE SO LONG focuses on 3 min of the epic song „Isn’t it a pity?“ interpreted by A. Lowry and J. Fedor. While we’re used to the notion of constantly moving forward, in SOME THINGS TAKE SO LONG we’re going on a jouney in the opposite direction. The movement is visually represented by car traffic (film footage taken from ‘Solaris’ by A. Tarkovsky) and space flight (various archive footage).

According to the lyrics of the song, our way takes us to what really bothers us inside. Therefor, we will pass the feeling of remorse helping us to see the opportunities we’ve actually missed. We will then experience that selfishness had been the reason all the time and that we’ve taken more love than we could have given. We may realize that by selfishness we rejected somehow the purpose of life that had been given to us like a gift.

So it seems we finally have to face the fact to see our life vanishing without leaving anything behind. And that’s what happens in my video. But the journey continues.
